  • Platform: DROP SKN Ride’s mobile application, website, and any related technology or services.
  • Account: A user or driver profile registered on the DROP SKN Ride platform.
  • Fare: The amount charged to the user for a completed ride.
  • Cancellation Fee: A fee charged to the user for canceling a ride outside the specified free cancellation window.
  • No-Show Fee: A fee charged to the user for failing to show up at the pickup location within the specified time.

 

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use DROP SKN Ride’s services, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, and payment information. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you agree to provide truthful information and update your account details as necessary. Misrepresentation of any information may result in suspension or termination of your account. Creating an account involves the following steps:

  1. Registration: You must register for an account by providing your full legal name, a valid email address, a phone number, and other necessary information as prompted.
  2. Verification: DROP SKN Ride may verify your email address and phone number to ensure they are valid and in use by you.
  3. Profile Completion: You are required to complete your profile by adding a profile picture and other personal information as requested.
  4. Agreement: By registering, you agree to comply with these Terms and any other policies or guidelines that DROP SKN Ride may implement.

 

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. You agree not to share your account information with any third party. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, and you must notify DROP SKN Ride immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. DROP SKN Ride will not be liable for any losses or damages arising from unauthorized use of your account. To ensure account security, you should:

  • Choose a Strong Password: Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols to create a strong password.
  • Update Password Regularly: Change your password periodically to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
  • Monitor Account Activity: Regularly check your account for any suspicious activity and report it immediately to DROP SKN Ride.
  • Use Two-Factor Authentication: Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) if available to add an extra layer of security.

 

User Responsibilities

As a user, you agree to:

  • Maintain accurate and complete account information.
  • Pay all charges incurred through your account.
  • Respect the rights of drivers and other users.
  • Not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Not misuse or abuse the platform or services provided by DROP SKN Ride.
  • Report any issues or concerns with the service promptly to DROP SKN Ride’s customer support.

Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

Service Description

DROP SKN Ride provides a platform that connects users with drivers for the purpose of ride-sharing. Our services include:

  • Facilitating ride bookings through our mobile application and website.
  • Processing payments for rides.
  • Providing customer support for users and drivers.
  • Offering promotional deals and discounts.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of users and drivers through background checks and vehicle inspections.
  • Providing a rating and review system for users and drivers to give feedback.

DROP SKN Ride does not provide transportation services itself; all transportation services are provided by independent third-party drivers who are not employees of DROP SKN Ride. DROP SKN Ride acts as an intermediary to connect users with drivers and to facilitate payments.

Service Availability

DROP SKN Ride aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee availability at all times. Services may be subject to delays, interruptions, or other issues due to various factors, including but not limited to:

  • Technical problems or maintenance on the platform.
  • Traffic conditions or weather events.
  • Driver availability or cancellations.
  • Legal or regulatory changes.
  • Natural disasters or other acts of God.

DROP SKN Ride will make reasonable efforts to inform users of any significant disruptions to services. In the event of service interruptions, DROP SKN Ride will strive to restore service as quickly as possible. Users are encouraged to check the platform for any announcements regarding service availability and disruptions.

Payment Terms

Fare Estimates

Fare estimates provided by DROP SKN Ride are based on several factors, including distance, time, and traffic conditions. These estimates are provided for informational purposes only and may vary from the final fare. Users will be charged the actual fare calculated at the end of the ride. The fare calculation includes:

  • Base Fare: A fixed starting fee for each ride.
  • Distance Fee: Charges based on the distance traveled during the ride.
  • Time Fee: Charges based on the duration of the ride.
  • Surge Pricing: Higher fares during periods of high demand to encourage more drivers to be available.
  • Additional Fees: Charges for tolls, surcharges, or any extra services requested by the user.

DROP SKN Ride accepts various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and digital wallets. By adding a payment method to your account, you authorize DROP SKN Ride to charge all fees incurred through your use of the services. Users must ensure that their payment information is accurate and up-to-date. Accepted payment methods include:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other major credit/debit cards.
  • Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Wallet, PayPal, and other supported digital wallets.

Charges and Fees

Charges for rides are calculated based on distance, time, and any applicable fees or surcharges, which may include:

  • Base Fare: A fixed starting fee for each ride.
  • Per-Minute and Per-Mile Charges: Charges based on the duration and distance of the ride.
  • Booking Fees: A fee for using DROP SKN Ride’s platform to book a ride.
  • Tolls and Surcharges: Additional charges for toll roads, airport pickups, or other surcharges.
  • Cancellation and No-Show Fees: Fees for canceling a ride outside the free cancellation window or failing to show up for a ride.
  • Service or Convenience Fees: Additional fees for special services or conveniences requested by the user.
  • Cleaning Fees: Charges for significant messes caused by users during the ride.

 

Refund Policy

Refunds are issued at DROP SKN Ride’s discretion. Users may request refunds for specific issues, such as ride cancellations or service disruptions, by contacting customer support. Requests for refunds must be submitted within 30 days of the ride in question. DROP SKN Ride reserves the right to decline refund requests if they do not meet the criteria set forth in this policy. Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:

  • Driver No-Show: If a driver fails to show up for a scheduled ride and the user is charged.
  • Service Disruption: If a ride is significantly disrupted due to technical issues or driver behavior.
  • Overcharging: If a user is mistakenly overcharged for a ride.
  • Ride Cancellations: If a user cancels a ride within the free cancellation window and is mistakenly charged a cancellation fee.

Users must provide relevant details and evidence when requesting a refund to facilitate the review and processing of their request.

Cancellation Policy

User Cancellations

Users have the ability to cancel a ride booking within a designated free cancellation period, usually within 5 minutes of confirming the ride and at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations outside this timeframe will be subject to a fee as specified in our comprehensive Cancellation Policy, which is established separately to reimburse drivers for their preparation efforts in the event of a canceled ride.

User Conduct

Prohibited Activities

Users agree not to engage in any prohibited activities, including but not limited to:

  • Using the service for unlawful purposes or in connection with illegal activities.
  • Harassing, threatening, or harming drivers or other users.
  • Tampering with the platform or circumventing security measures.
  • Providing false information or impersonating another person.
  • Attempting to disrupt or interfere with the operation of the platform.
  • Engaging in fraudulent activities, such as using stolen credit cards or creating fake accounts.
  • Violating the privacy or rights of other users or drivers.

Prohibited activities undermine the integrity and safety of the platform. Users found engaging in such activities may face account suspension or termination and may be reported to law enforcement authorities if necessary.

User Ratings and Reviews

Users may rate and review drivers based on their ride experience. All ratings and reviews must be honest, fair, and respectful. DROP SKN Ride reserves the right to remove or edit ratings and reviews that violate these standards or contain inappropriate content. Ratings and reviews should focus on relevant aspects of the ride experience, such as:

  • Driver Conduct: Professionalism, courtesy, and driving skills of the driver.
  • Vehicle Condition: Cleanliness, comfort, and maintenance of the vehicle.
  • Ride Experience: Overall satisfaction with the ride, including timeliness and safety.

Users are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to help improve the quality of services provided by drivers and the overall user experience on the platform.

Driver Conduct

Driver Obligations

Drivers agree to provide safe, reliable, and professional ride services. Drivers must comply with all applicable laws and maintain the required licenses and insurance. Specific driver obligations include:

  • Maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Providing courteous and respectful service to users.
  • Notifying DROP SKN Ride of any changes to their driving status or vehicle condition.
  • Ensuring that the vehicle is equipped with necessary safety features and is free from hazards.
  • Responding promptly to ride requests and communicating effectively with users.
  • Reporting any incidents or accidents to DROP SKN Ride immediately.

Drivers are expected to uphold high standards of service and professionalism to ensure the safety and satisfaction of users.

Vehicle Standards

Drivers are responsible for ensuring their vehicles meet DROP SKN Ride’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance. Vehicles must undergo regular inspections and meet the following criteria:

  • Be in good operating condition with functional safety features (e.g., seat belts, airbags).
  • Be clean and free of significant damage.
  • Have valid registration and insurance.
  • Meet local regulatory requirements for ride-sharing vehicles.
  • Be equipped with necessary amenities, such as air conditioning and functioning windows.
  • Be regularly serviced and maintained to ensure reliability and safety.

DROP SKN Ride reserves the right to conduct periodic inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with these standards. Non-compliance may result in penalties or suspension of the driver’s account.

Driver Ratings and Reviews

Drivers may receive ratings and reviews from users based on their ride experience. Consistently low ratings or negative reviews may result in penalties or account deactivation. DROP SKN Ride encourages drivers to maintain high standards of service to receive positive feedback from users. Ratings and reviews can impact a driver’s ability to receive ride requests and participate in promotional programs. Drivers should:

  • Strive for High Ratings: Aim to provide exceptional service to receive high ratings and positive reviews.
  • Address Feedback: Use feedback from users to improve service quality and address any concerns.
  • Maintain Professionalism: Respond to reviews and feedback in a professional and respectful manner.

DROP SKN Ride may offer incentives or rewards to drivers who consistently receive high ratings and positive reviews.

Disclaimer of Warranties

DROP SKN Ride provides its services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of our services. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The suitability of the services for a particular purpose.
  • The performance of the platform.
  • The actions or conduct of users or drivers.
  • The availability of drivers at any given time or location.
  • The quality, safety, or legality of rides provided by drivers.

Users and drivers use the DROP SKN Ride platform at their own risk, and DROP SKN Ride does not guarantee that the services will meet their expectations or requirements.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DROP SKN Ride, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the services.
  • Your breach or violation of any of these Terms.
  • Your violation of the rights of any third party, including drivers or other users.
  • Any disputes or conflicts between you and other users or drivers.
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

This indemnification obligation will survive the termination or expiration of these Terms and your use of the services.

Dispute Resolution

Arbitration Agreement

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the services will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court. This includes claims based on contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory.
